May activities

Friday, May 16th - Bobby and Jennifer will not be hanging out in the youth group room serving coffee from 3-5. INSTEAD, we will be going to see Prince Caspian (the new Chronicles of Narnia movie) in the evening! We don't know what time the show is yet, but we will probably meet at the church around 5:30ish, eat a little dinner (pizza or something on the grill), then all go to the movie together (wherever we decide to go). THE NEXT DAY... Saturday, May 17th - PANCAKE BREAKFAST here at the church... served by YOU! Be here between 8 and 8:30 am to set up for the breakfast. Julie, Nathan & Zeb definately have to be here! We hope all of you will come and help. Other events this month will include: possibly another movie night and a street clean-up day (although that will probably be moved to June). ALSO... we will probably be cancelling YOUTH GROUP on Sunday, May 25th (the day before Memorial Day). That's all for now!

Pancakes for Missions

We will be having another pancake breakfast soon. May 17th is the date, 9:00 am is the time, GVPC kitchen is the place, and all donations will go toward mission trips. All youth group members are eligible if you are going on a mission trip this year. For right now, I think we just have Julie (Cherokee), Zeb (Cherokee), and Nathan K (Washington). Let us know if there are others.

Support Julie!

This Sunday, following church, Julie will be having a chili dinner to raise money for her Mission trip to Cherokee this summer. I've been told that they are having chili, cornbread, and something else... so, go, eat, and give... for Julie!

Hibachi

Friday night, March 28th... meet at the church at 5:30 pm to go to Hibachi in Morgantown. The cost is $10 per person (the YG will be paying the remainder.)

If you can't make it, please call/text/message either Bobby or Jennifer ASAP.


also, remember that we will not be having our usual "coffee-shop" time in the youth room from 3-5 this friday b/c of the hibachi dinner. thank you.

Dates & Times

GIRLS - Sisters for Tea, Thursday, March 20th. Meet at the church around 10:30ish, so we can get there and eat at 11:00. Most of the girls have decided to dress up! Does that mean Julie will be wearing frilly gloves & a hat??? Well, maybe just a shawl...

EVERYONE - Hibachi dinner, Morgantown, Friday, March 28th - still don't quite have a time yet.

Good Friday - church service from noon-1pm, youth group "coffee-shop" from 1-3 and we will have pizza.

NO YOUTH GROUP ON EASTER SUNDAY!!!
