bye bye birdie - part 2
sorry if there was any confusion regarding my last post... we are not going to the musical as an official youth group event. I just wanted to encourage everyone to go - on your own. Bobby and I are going Friday night, hopefully we'll see some of you there!

Indelible Grace & Matthew Smith concert
Currently we have 9 interested people in the concert this coming Sunday 2/24/08. If you were one of the few undecided ones, please call/email/message Bobby or Jennifer by Tuesday to let us know if you are coming or not. The concert starts at 7, so we will have to leave the church around 4:50/5:00. We're assuming that the concert will be about 2 hours in length, which puts us back in Carmichaels around 10/10:30. Ticket prices are $8.

Good Stuff
Since we are in a denominational church, the Presbyterian Church in America, I thought it would be a good idea to post some resource links that you can look at to learn a little more about our beliefs, practices, and so forth.

friday afternoons
we're really grateful for everyone that takes the time to stop by on friday afternoons to hang out with us. in order to make it a little different than sunday evenings, so that it doesn't feel like youth group twice a week, we want to make it feel more open to bring non-church kids. I guess we need your suggestions. how can it be more appealing so that you want to invite your friends? those who don't normally come to youth group or gvpc? what would make you say, "hey, wanna go hang out with a couple cool old people after school for a couple hours?"? we thought the starbucks-generic drinks were enough, but maybe we were wrong... let us know!
welcome
all announcements and events regarding youth group stuff will be posted here, check back often.
